Travel Dual-Mate™ Highchair & Infant Carrier Stand Review & Giveaway Ends 11/25 US Only

Have you ever been out to eat with your family, especially your kids and had to rely on a restaurant high chair? Whether it be flipped over to hold your infant carrier or for your child to sit in.

Germs on them are outrageous! Half of the time a strap is broken or even both, and quite honestly I don't feel them being flipped over is safe for a child so young to be propped up in with their infant carrier.

Hollett Baby has the solution, they have designed a portable high chair that will make your life easier when out with your family. It can even be used in your own home and save on space in your dining room.

I received a Dual-Mate™ Travel Highchair and Infant Carrier Stand from Hollett Baby for review.
Upon opening the package, you notice a nice storage bag with a sturdy strap.

The Dual-Mate™ Travel Highchair and Infant Carrier Stand is very similar to a camping chair, but in my opinion it is much sturdier than any camping chair I have ever owned.
Some key points I love, include:
  • lightweight, easy to carry in the carrying bag
  • easy to clean with a damp cloth, keep my families germs on us and not worry about other people's
  • very sturdy, my kids move around a ton and they couldn't tip it over
  • my kids love it, especially my daughter who says it is comfy

My children loved having a seat that was portable that could be accommodating for multiple situations.
Here is my son cheesing soon after I received the highchair.

It weighs less than 8 pounds! Not too much to carry along with you. When it is assembled it's dimensions are 17 × 17 × 29 in, so it really doesn't take up much space at all.

The following information is from the Hollett Baby website.
The patented Dual-Mate™ is a uniquely designed dual-purpose highchair that safely accommodates all major brands of baby carriers and baby car seats and converts to accommodate toddlers. This item is perfect to take into restaurants to hold an infant carrier/car seat, and prevent the dangerous practice of inverting standard restaurant highchairs to serve as an infant carrier stand.
After your child has outgrown their baby carrier, the Dual-Mate™ Travel Highchair easily converts to become a standard highchair that allows your child to join the entire family for mealtime! It is our philosophy that a child that is included in the dining experience will be happier and therefore less likely to act out in order to seek attention; the Dual-Mate™ Travel High Chair purposely does not have a tray so that your child can be included at the table with the rest of the family.
Hollett Baby knows you don’t want to limit your activities because you now have a baby or a toddler, and we also know that children learn best when exposed to rich experiences – so, bring them along on life’s adventures! Our portable highchair makes this easier by giving your baby or toddler their own seating no matter where you may go. The Dual-Mate™ Travel Highchair is so portable and compact that it stows nicely in your trunk – always ready when you need it! It makes a great gift for new parents, and even grandparents to keep at their house for when the grandchildren visit! Since it folds easily, it can be stored until it is ready for use!
The Dual-Mate™ Travel Highchair is the only dual-purpose highchair that is made to be portable by conveniently folding and neatly fitting into its own carrying bag.
Ideal For:
  • Vacationing
  • Visiting friends and relatives
  • Camping or picnicking
  • Tailgating at sporting events
  • Use in restaurants
This product is designed and tested for quality assurance, and meets ASTM standards.
Setting up is a breeze. Remove the carrier bag, unfold the chair, and lock into place. Then all you have to decide is if you plan to use it for an infant carrier or a toddler to sit in.

My daughter really liked that when we were tailgating at the zoo for lunch she didn't have to sit in her stroller or on the back of our vehicle. It kept her still, while taking away a little worry that I always have while tailgating. I knew right where she was!

#LoveAppalachia Fall 2012 Diaper Drive Giveaway

Welcome to the Fall 2012 Cloth Diaper Drive Giveaway & Fundraising Event hosted by Leettle Baby!

A Journey In Mommy's Shoes is proud to be a part of this exciting giveaway event.

Last spring, with your help, we were able to send 30 diaper covers and 30 cotton prefolds to the DFW Cloth Diaper Project.
This time around we would love to make an even greater impact. For this event, we would love help the Tomahawk Sustainment Mission in their efforts to expand their cause to begin a cloth diapering program that will benefit the people living in the poverty-stricken Appalachia region of Kentucky. The founder, Terri, has estimated that there were 500 children that could benefit from this program.
DID YOU KNOW? The Appalachia region covers 13 different U.S. states, encompasses 420 counties and includes 25 million people? Sadly, some of the most distressed areas have 150% poverty rate over the average U.S. rate.
Why Cloth Diapers?
As many of us parents know, diapering our children can cost us a fortune. According to the Real Diaper Association, using disposables costs a family about $66 dollars per month, and about $1,600 for the first two years. Now imagine if you had to decide if your family was going to eat or spend money on buying more diapers. Some families even have to re-use their babies DISPOSABLE diapers because they cannot afford to buy more. The wonderful thing about cloth diapers is that you do not have to worry about purchasing more diapers and you can always have clean ones readily available! With this diaper program, these families will not have to spend a penny on diapers for their children.
In addition, disposable diapers are not compostable and are estimated to take 250 - 500 years to break down! Now imagine if you did not have a trash service to remove those diapers (like some of those living in the Appalachia area)...where would they go? Cloth diapers provide a more sanitary option to the environment and reduce landfill waste.
How You Can Help
A donation in any amount is greatly appreciated and is tax deductible.
There are quite a few other ways that you can help us get as many of these precious children cloth diapered as possible, just click HERE.
